Azure's Language Understanding Intelligent Service--or LUIS--Cognitive Service is extremely useful for understanding and taking in details about a user request to a chatbot. In this video, we cover how to create a new LUIS app.

To create a LUIS app, you need an Azure Resource Group:    • AtBot U: Create an Azure Resource Group  

LUIS is a natural language processing (NLP) tool that takes human language (supporting many cultures) and converts it into an intent the bot can use to trigger a workflow. When using AtBot, a LUIS intent can trigger a workflow in Microsoft Power Automate or LogicApps.

For example, a user asking "I need to schedule an appointment with John Smith" can be understood by AtBot and automatically schedule an appointment with the requested individual.
