I'm a miter gauge guy. I use it all the time. I needed to have another miter gauge so I didn't have to break down my setups.

In part 4 of this series, I show the layout and drilling of the poplar sacrificial miter gauge faces that get attached to the extrusion. Since the extrusion is backing the poplar face with bolts, the straightness of the poplar is assured.

FYI: This project didn't cost much either. I bought this Grizzly miter gauge in 2024 for $60, and I just checked and it's still the same price as of January 2025. A great deal for sure.
