A gentle reminder for when you don't feel like sewing. You've lost your sew-jo.

Don’t sew.
Not today, if it feels heavy. Your headspace is full.

Not when you’ve walked past the machine three times already and sighed each time.

Instead, do something tiny.

Change your rotary blade. Oh and your machine needle, whilst you're at it.

Brush away the lint in the bobbin housing.

Pre-wash your fabric.

Clear one small patch of your table, so you can actually see the table again.

Because when you do the basic background things, it'll not only make you feel like you've achieved something today but you'll also be ready the next chance you get to sew.

And often, that’s what brings the spark back.

You’ll sew again soon — and it’ll feel lighter.
