A szegény ember egyetlen fia elindul szerencsét próbálni. Abba a városba ér, amelynek a királya olyan hatalmas, hogy ha eltüsszenti magát az egész ország népének rá kell mondania: „Adj Isten, egészségére!” A juhászfiúban emberére akad, hisz a fiú csak akkor hajlandó ezt mondani, ha a királykisasszony kezét megkaphatja…

The Jackdaw Girls

A woman has 12 daughters and they were so cheeky that once their mother said in anger: "I wish you turned into jackdaws". Immediately the 12 girls turned into jackdaws and flew away. Later on, a son was born to the woman, who heard the story of his sisters and he set out to search for the jackdaws. He managed to find them, and returns the 12 obedient daughters to the paternal house.

The Starry-Eyed Shepherd

The only son of a poor man set out in search of his fortune. He reaches the town, ruled by the mighty king, who is feared by all his subjects, for he kills everybody who does not say: "Bless you" the moment he sneezes. The shepherd is only willing to say: "Bless you" if he can also marry the princess. Accompanied by the wonderful sound of his flute and using certain tricks he escapes death, and the king is compelled to allow him to mary his daughter.
