In 2023, TU worked with the Bureau of Reclamation, Carbon Canal Company, Carbon Water Conservancy District, Intel Corporation, Bonneville Environmental Foundation, and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources to drill a hole in Utah’s Scofield Dam to increase winter water flows downstream. Through a mix of partnerships, water leases, corporate donations, federal infrastructure funding, and ingenuity, this action will now help restore the former Blue Ribbon trout population of Lower Fish Creek, in addition to the greater watershed as a whole.
