Since its inception, the goal for the Richmond Ambulance Authority (RAA) has been to provide its community with clinical excellence, while ensuring response time reliability and fiscal responsibility. Although it has one of the highest call volumes per capita in the United States, RAA is on the scene of life threatening emergency calls in 8 minutes, 59 seconds or less, 90 percent of the time. RAA has gained a national and international reputation as a premiere, high performing EMS system.
