Hatching Duck Eggs Naturally - WaY Out Here

Описание к видео Hatching Duck Eggs Naturally - WaY Out Here

We let our female Cayuga duck, Goose, hatch some eggs naturally without an incubator. While we feel there's nothing wrong with incubating eggs, we wanted to do this naturally and let nature take its course. We did not "help" the eggs along in any way. So far, we only have one duckling. But, we intend to do updates! This is supposed to be a 28-day process. (We were at 26-27 days for the first duckling hatching. It hatched overnight during a loud thunder and rainstorm!)

We chose NOT to use an incubator because we wanted to watch nature take over. However, there's nothing wrong with learning to use an incubator. It's a personal choice and we will always be proponents of free will. Always use your discernment, and do what's right for you on your homestead.

Also, we included an update on the duck house and their water situation.

We are not experts! We are simply homesteaders trying things on our own, making mistakes, and learning. Hopefully, if we make a few mistakes, others won't have to!
