Jordan Brand chose the Air Jordan 1 model for the Gatorade theme because that’s the very silhouette that was featured in the “23 vs. 29” ad that has a 23 year old Michael Jordan go one on one against a 39 year old Michael Jordan.
Inspired by the classic Gatorade flavors, the pairs from the pack come dressed a tonal hues that consists of Orange Peel, Blue Lagoon, Rush Violet and Cyber (the most limited) leather uppers equipped with features such as the embossed Nike Air leather tongue tags, the Gatorade lightning logo on the heel, the co-branded insoles and transparent outsoles that reveal even more Gatorade branding. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Gatorade Pack will also come equipped with an Orange hangtag, a Gatorade x Jordan Brand towel, three sets of laces and a special edition “Like Mike” box.
