Making Aebleskivers| Easy to Make Danish Filled Pancakes

For this recipe you will need:
2 cups all purpose flour
2 eggs, separated
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoon sugar
2 cups buttermilk
4 tablespoons melted butter, plus additional butter for greasing your pan

This is one of my favorite "special" dishes. I have many wonderful memories of making æbleskivers with a dear friend who has now passed. Once you get the hang of turning them they are a snap to make and everyone loves biting into the airy bread to find a sweet surprise of apple, jam, or chocolate!
