The Post Office Bill: Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in the Rajya Sabha on Monday that the government has made several efforts in the last nine years to revive the post offices which were losing relevance, making them service providing institutions and converting them into banks. Vaishnav said this while placing the Post Office Bill 2023 in the Upper House for consideration and passing. He said that this bill has been brought to amend the 125 year old Post Office Act.

The Post Office Bill: टेलीकॉम मिनिस्टर अश्विनी वैष्णव ने सोमवार को राज्यसभा में कहा कि सरकार ने प्रासंगिकता खो रहे डाकघरों का पुनरूद्धार करते हुए इन्हें सेवा प्रदान करने वाला संस्थान बनाने और इन्हें बैंकों में तब्दील करने के लिए पिछले नौ साल में कई प्रयास किए हैं. वैष्णव ने डाकघर विधेयक 2023 को विचार एवं पारित करने के लिए उच्च सदन में रखते हुए यह बात कही. उन्होंने कहा कि यह विधेयक 125 साल पुराने डाकघर कानून में संशोधन करने के लिए लाया गया है.
