Lost In The Desert

I was lost in the desert, confronting my fears.
I was lost in the desert, 40 days, 40 years.
I battled the enemy, demons unknown.
I prayed God would find me, I felt so alone.

My spirit was broken, my heart filled with grief.
My soul was tormented; I yearned for relief.
I asked God: “My Father, what else must I do,
to get you to hear me? My cries are for you!

And finally He answered, a voice in my ear,
I have always been with you, I have always been here.
I would never forsake you, it was you who did stray.
Forgetting My promise, you wandered away.

But know in your struggles, I’m right by your side,
To guide you, protect you, and always provide.
In every dark moment, I’ll always be near.
Keep trusting, believing; let faith conquer fear.

My child when your pain is too much to withstand,
Just turn to Me, reach for Me, take hold My hand.
Remember, I love you, find comfort in Me.
For I am Thy Father, and ever will be.
