Jaco Pastorius Band feat. Kazumi Watanabe - Dania( Live in Japan 1983)

This version of "Dania" is NOT from the concert that was released twice as "Live in Japan 1983" and "Tokyo 83". This is from the release "Jaco Pastorius Word Of Mouth Band 1983 Tour feat Kazumi Watanabe" and was recorded on a different night. Here the band and especially Jaco offers a much more inspired performance than what can be heard on those releases. Jaco's solo is at the end, and it is smoking! He stops playing for about 8 seconds during the solo, but returns and then finishes it with the same kind of energy he was filled with before the brief pause. Love the Coltraneish phrase at 11:00! After the band wraps it up Jaco greets(?) the audience in Japanese. I don't know what he's saying, but I can detect a sense of pride and contentment in his voice. Which is not surprising after having delivered such an amazing performance.
