How to tie the Stalking Bug

Some flies just catch your eye, I saw this over on ‪@mdflyfishinguk5220‬ channel where he was using the fly to great effect at a local Stillwater.

It put me to mind of the stalking bugs that used to be used for targeting big fish in some of the more prestigious Stillwater Trout fisheries in the South of England (read super expensive). Ideaal for dropping in front of patrolling trout close to the margins.

That aside I can see this fly catching plenty of fish either straight lines or under an indicator. The marabou tail is of course optional as is the colour of wire in the thorax. Play about with the pattern and let me know what you come up with.
