Practical Performance. If you've damaged or even bent your tie rod on the trails, this Rugged Ridge Monster Tie Rod with Tie Rod Ends acts as the perfect replacement. You get a tie rod that's much stronger than the factory component, which is a good thing considering tie rods can take a real beating on trail obstacles. The tie rod is double adjustable, so you can set the toe of the Jeep while the component is installed. This Monster Tie Rod from Rugged Ridge fits all 1997 to 2006 Wrangler TJs.

Excellent Quality. This is a heavy-duty tie rod, so you can put this on your Jeep and be confident it won't be bent or damaged like your old one. Rugged Ridge uses a 1018 DOM steel tube to make this tie rod, which means no welds or seams that can fail. Also, the tube features a 1/4-inch wall thickness. The tie rod ends are 7/8-inch, with a tapered fit so they slide right into the factory steering knuckles without problems. In other words, you get a solid and strong tie rod for hard wheeling. All necessary hardware is included.

Simple Installation Process. Installing this Monster Tie Rod is actually a pretty simple job. Plan on setting aside about an hour of your time. You should have some anti-seize on hand to apply between the tie rod and the tie rod ends, preventing trouble with adjusting things later. Also, you'll need a set of sockets, wrenches and other basic hand tools. Having an impact wrench for this job definitely helps, too.
