LXVE AFTR's Grabba Leaves was inspired while studying music from the 70’s. Intrigued with the soul and love that music from that era had and he wanted to rebrand himself with that kind of soul. Looking to create a song that had more fun, more funk and more happiness to it. Lyrics from the song were inspired by a situationship he was in back in Fall 2019. Looking back at that situation he really appreciated how they would vibe asking meaningful and deep questions. Really getting to know each other over smoke sessions, LXVE AFTR being a fan papers while she smoked with Grabba Leaf. All it took was one hit from the tobacco rolled joint to be hooked by smooth kick of the leaf. That became their thing almost every weekend and he wanted to capture that kind of attraction on a record. December 2019 he started writing and building the record before featuring Troop Brand on it in April 2020.”
