Kolkata metro's most awaited section is east west corridor's bowbazar section. This section was supposed to be operational by October 2024 but dew to some trouble as soil and water leakage things are postponed, as of now it's reported by several media and Kolkata Metro authority that all problems are being taken care and things are to be solved by 2025 , if we are lucky enough then we might ride from Howrah Maidan metro station and reach till Salt Lake Sector 5 directly.
