Sabiki Fishing & Mackerel Tempura | Catch & Cook

Описание к видео Sabiki Fishing & Mackerel Tempura | Catch & Cook

Sabiki is fun! Sabiki fishing is probably the most underrated, most efficient and very exciting fishing tehnique! What is sabiki? Sabiki in japanese literally means - "To catch bait fish" and it is primarily used for that, to catch bait! Sabiki rig is usually made from leader and 5-6 small hooks, each one on individual dropper lines which are a few centimeters long, tied to a longer leader with a weight tied to the end of the leader. The individual hooks are decorated with different feathers, fluorescent beads and other decorations so they look like micro lures. There is no need to bait them, they are already excellent baits.

People are mistaken that sabiki fishing is only used for simple mackerel fishing, but that's not true. If you upgrade the lines & hooks, replace inchiku instead of the weight, it's a lethal rig for deep sea fishing. We landed some beautiful pink dentex, red porgy, snappers & more using this rig. In this video we targeted chub mackerel and horse mackerel. The plan was to catch few decent mackerels, fillet them and make a fantastic dish - mackerel tempura. We did it. What a beautiful day fishing!

Mackerel Tempura - Ludo More Club Sandwich

Ingredients: mackerel, bread, olive oil, pickled red onion, capers, arugula salad
Ingredients for mayonnaise: eggs, dijon mustard, sunflower oil, white wine vinegar, lemon, salt
Ingredients for tempura: all purpose flour type 550 & 400, ice, beer or mineral water, baking powder

Altought it has plenty of ingredients, this recipe is very simple. Feel free to play with the ingredients, after all only the mackerel is important! Fillet your mackerel and split the fillets in two like you can see in the video. Prepare everything for tempura in a bowl and let it chill in the fridge. If you have deep fryer excellent, if not use the larger pot and add sunflower oil in it and start the fire. Take your mackerel fillets, put them in all purpose flour 400, shake off any excess flour, now put them in tempura mixture, another shake off and put them in fryer. They are done after 2 minutes or when the tempura becomes golden. We baked homemade foccacia bread, made a small salad with arugula, capers and pickled red onion with homemade mayonnaise. Feel free to use any other salad and buy mayonnaise if you don't have time to make your own. It will be great! You can also use different sauces like sweet chili or something hot! Hope you enjoy. Thank you.
