Bodycam: Daycare Owner Guilty in Baby’s Death Reacts to Cops Investigating Her for Murder

Bodycam footage shows the moment police responded to the home daycare of Amanda Hickey, a 48-year-old woman from Dunwoody, Georgia, after she called 911 about an unresponsive baby in 2021. The video depicts Dunwoody police and firefighters investigating the scene at Hickey's "Little Lovey Daycare" business, which she ran out of her home. Authorities later found security footage showing the caretaker placing the infant on their stomach, a practice that goes against safe sleep recommendations for infants.

Following the investigation, Hickey was charged with second-degree murder. The Dekalb County woman was subsequently sentenced to 30 years in prison and five years of probation.
