Kia Connect with Smart Navigation (EV6)

Kia Connect with Smart Navigation Infotainment System is available on select Kia models.
The combination of Kia Connect with the Smart Navigation Infotainment System puts a wide range of features and functions right at your fingertips.
In this video, we’ll provide an overview of what this system has to offer… and how to get the most out of the system.
The HOME PAGE is designed to provide you with access to a wide range of features…
And you can create a PERSONALIZED PROFILE where you can add your name, a profile image, link your Kia Connect account to set your preferences and link your Bluetooth devices.
Go to USER PROFILE SETTINGS by pressing the image on the top left side of the screen.

On select “EV” models, you can set the SCHEDULED CHARGING AND CLIMATE that allows you to schedule charging times and climate control for your electric vehicle.
On the infotainment system screen, press the EV button and you’ll see the Electric Vehicle home page…
Press the SCHEDULED CHARGING AND CLIMATE button where you can adjust your settings.
To access other EV SETTINGS, press the settings icon. Here you can adjust:
MAX PERCENTAGE CHARGE…
CHARGING CURRENT…
WINTER MODE which helps to maintain charging performance…
UTILITY MODE, which allows the high voltage battery to be used instead of the 12-volt auxiliary battery for operating convenient features.
You can also set the CHARGING CONNECTOR LOCKING MODE…
And CHARGING VOICE PROMPTS.
Another feature is ACTIVE SOUND DESIGN SETTINGS – this feature emits virtual driving sounds through the audio system while you’re driving.
There are three sound effects to choose from:
STYLISH…
DYNAMIC…
And CYBER.
The infotainment system and the Kia Access App also provide you with access to VALET MODE for when you have to leave your vehicle with a valet.
When you go to VALET MODE from the HOME screen, you will start by ENTERING a four-digit password…
Then ENTER the password again.
While you’re away from your vehicle, VALET MODE will send notifications, through the Kia Access App, if the limits you set were exceeded.
To turn off VALET MODE, enter the same four-digit password that you used to set it.

As well as various PLACES, like finding your local gas station, or restaurant.

Another popular feature is how Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow PHONE PROJECTION – so you can “see” your phone screen on the infotainment system screen.
From the home screen, press PHONE PROJECTION…and follow the prompts to connect your smartphone.
You can also use this system to leave yourself a VOICE MEMO.
From the HOME screen, select VOICE MEMO…
Then record your message.
Your Voice Memos are automatically stored.
The SWITCHABLE CONTROLLER on the infotainment system panel allows you to toggle between the Climate Control system and the infotainment system controls.
Press and hold the climate control button to change the default mode that is displayed.
Select Kia models offer QUIET MODE.
When you select Quiet Mode from the infotainment system screen, the rear speakers are muted, and the front speakers are limited to a preset level.
This allows the driver and front seat passenger to listen to their music while back seat passengers listen to headphones… read… or sleep.
You can also access HD RADIO DATA from the infotainment system.
When available, you can view your local TRAFFIC…
As well as the DOPPLER RADAR weather report.
When in radio mode, you can view info on the radio station you’re listening to…
Choose presets…
Set your favorite stations…
Or, have the system search to see what radio stations are available in the area.

You can set the CUSTOM and MODE buttons to correspond to your frequently used features.
Press SETUP…
Then BUTTON …
Then select the button you want to customize.
You can switch the functions of the VOLUME and TUNE KNOBS from the BUTTON SETTINGS screen…
Select VOLUME/TUNE KNOB and press SWAP.
The Kia Connect with Smart Navigation infotainment system also allows for over-the-air updates.
To access this feature, press SETUP…
And GENERAL…
Then SW INFO/UPDATE… then follow the on-screen instructions.
