Old Quarter Morning Walk | Hanoi, Vietnam | 4K

Описание к видео Old Quarter Morning Walk | Hanoi, Vietnam | 4K

One of the most enchanting aspects of the Old Quarter is its fusion of old and new while serving as the heart and soul of Vietnam's capital city of Hanoi. Dating back over a thousand years, this maze-like historic district is a testament to the city's rich cultural heritage and vibrant history. Its narrow, winding streets are lined with centuries-old shophouses, each exuding its own unique charm and character.

Visiting Hanoi's Old Quarter is like taking a step back in time while simultaneously immersing yourself in the vibrant energy of contemporary Vietnam, making it an essential destination for any traveler exploring this captivating city. The area is a paradise for shoppers and food enthusiasts, with its bustling markets offering everything from intricate handicrafts to delicious street food specialties like pho and banh mi.

While watching, one of the first things to notice is the soundscape. With scooters zipping around traffic and constant honking for drivers to make themselves noticeable, the sounds never cease. Though they do become part of the scenery.

Our walk begins at St. Joseph's Cathedral, on the Western side of Hoan Kiem Lake. We make our way through the quarter by walking North and then East, visiting the world-famous Beer Street, though it was too early to see the thousands of patrons that fill the street in the afternoons and evenings. We end the walk at the renowned Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square.
