Uniden Bearcat UBC60XLT

This Uniden Bearcat UBC60XLT has been stuffed in a draw in my shed for years. Thought i'd give it a clean and record it. Whilst looking online for a user manual I came across a blog post by Pasquale Fiorillo, link below. This was a MOD that would add another frequency. Soldering a bridge between pin 80 and ground unlocking the frequency 108-136 MHz.

I should have used a thinner gauge wire for the bridge and some flux would help the solder flow better.

I will power the scanner with my bench power supply when needed or I may just get a 4x AAA battery holder and add that if used mobile.

I never had the battery cover when I was given the scanner so have to improvise.
