Today I planted the Purple Love Grass for the 2020 season of the Oak Savanna restoration project. Purple love grass is native a warm season grass that will grow in gravel and sand, is drought tolerant, and downright gorgeous as the seed heads start to grow later in the summer. I doubt that I will plant plugs beyond this year as I can easily collect enough seed from what I already have to just plant directly from seed from here on in.
