Waste Management stock down 12% after earnings! | WM stock analysis

Waste Management presented earnings last week and the stock went down about 12%.

And looking at their earnings, things look pretty interesting with a miss on EPS and revenue. For the upcoming quarter, analyst have mixed feelings.

One of the reasons why people like Waste Management stock is because of the solid dividends and I understand why with a decent 1.5% dividend yield and it is also growing at a solid 8%. On top of that, they have 20 consecutive years of dividend increases.

Looking at the total returns in the past 5 years, we see that Waste Management Stock underperformed the SP500 by a decent amount. All because of recent events.

So could this be the perfect time to buy WM stock?
