SNL pissed me off. I wasn't planning on a 3rd Try Guys video but so many of you asked for one (over 1500 of you) after the SNL Try Guys skit came out. As a former BuzzFeed lawyer and lawyer in Hollywood for the last 15 years, I know this space well. When I joined Buzzfeed, the Try Guys had just left and it was a hard loss for the company. But I’m glad they left because they have gone on to create such an amazing channel and company and their response to Ned’s infidelity just makes me love them more. SNL had a chance to expand the conversation and instead of making fun of Ned, they made fun of 3 men who did the RIGHT THING. Which rarely happens in entertainment and Hollywood.I left litigation to become an entertainment attorney, so that I could protect creatives. I was the lead attorney in the LA office of Buzzfeed in charge of the creators program. It was my job to bring creators in, to extend creators agreements, and also to exit creators. I actually worked on the exit of a few famous creators that you may love.
