Midnight forest clearing: a low orange campfire flickers yet gives off no warmth—embers drift upward, then reverse and fold into the coals. Five rugged, friendly‐looking wanderers sit around it, faces half-lit; every few seconds their bodies shimmer translucent, outlines hollow, eyes glassy. Frost radiates outward from the fire, silvering pine needles and grass. Sparks swirl inward instead of outward, and the firelight seems to swallow surrounding shadows. The camera creeps closer; the figures smile invitingly as their forms glitch like static, the frigid hush deepening.

Moonless alpine slope blanketed in blue-white snow; six mountaineers crouch round a copper stew-pot that bubbles silently, steam spiralling downward into the coals. Their breath crystallises mid-air then melts back through their hollow chests, lantern eyes pulsing softly; frost-filigree races outward from the fire ring, etching delicate fractals across bootprints as the stars overhead flicker off one by one.
