This video features professional live auctioneer Andy Saks running a fundraising game called "The Last Superhero" during a "Raise Your Paddle / Fund the Need" segment at a fundraiser for Beverly Children's Learning Center.

The fundraiser was held at the MIsselwood Event Center in Beverly, Massachusetts, in September, 2023.

The game is simple: At the last (and lowest) paddle raise level ($50 in this case) the #auctioneer gives a low-dollar prize (roughly $100) to the LAST person to raise their paddle. Guests compete to be last, and every time they raise their paddle, they give another $50.

This epic version of "Last Superhero" took over 10 minutes, but instead of growing bored and impatient, you'll see the audience come to life, as they themselves keep the game going, raising their paddles and making jokes.
Altogether, these guests raised their paddles 66 times during The Last Superhero, boosting BCLC's fundraising total by $3300. Then they left smiling, energized and proud. Not a bad way to end the night!
