Pushing the Samurai 120 past failure! Spindle Stall! 4000mm/min

Today we pushed the Samurai 120 into the unthinkable, and achieved 11MRR in aluminium without flood coolant. These cuts equate to 400% spindle load!

The spindle stalled due to lack of coolant, but the Samurai kept cutting regardless and didn't gouge the part. If it stalled during a continuous cut the spindle servo would exceed position error parameters and automatically e-stop the machine.

It is definitely not recommended to try these cuts on your machine. We crash the machine so you don't have to!
