The Dipole of the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation shows us that our universe is all moving in a single general direction; given that the CMB Dipole is actually a feature of the microwave sky. The Big Bang Kilonova hypothesis describes the birth of our universe which as a consequence expects the entire universe to be moving in the same direction.

The alternative hypothesis of the CMB dipole is that we see it because of our movement with respect to the rest frame of the microwave sky. Hence a doppler effect arises that light from the direction of Leo is blueshifted and light from the direction of Aquarius is redshifted which gives rise to us seeing the CMB Dipole.

In this podcast I discuss two new papers that test the local CMB dipole kinematic interpretation using CatWISE2020 catalog of 1.3 million quasars. Spoiler: It is a clear win for the Big Bang Kilonova Hypothesis.
