Why MT BACHELOR is the BEST ZIP LINE excursion in the Pacific Northwest

Описание к видео Why MT BACHELOR is the BEST ZIP LINE excursion in the Pacific Northwest

Adventure seekers, explore outdoors and take a ride on a thrilling zip line with me today! My van's delayed, but that doesn't mean there can't still be adventures had! In today's video, we take a trip out to Mt Bachelor Ski Resort where, in the off season, they run a zip line tour that starts with a lift up to the top and then zig-zags down the mountain in three stages, each stage more harrowing than the last. The total distance is 6,918' (1.3 miles) and the vertical drop is 1,384'. This is one of the steepest, longest, fastest zip lines in the Northwest and riders control their own brakes, so using brakes is totally optional (until you get to the end, where you need to brake for your landing.) Enjoy the afternoon with me, my brother, and brother-in-law as we conquer the zip tour!

You'll see a note below that this content is altered and that's because I added some sound effects (heartbeat and wind sounds) to the last run of the zip line to heighten the tension. I wasn't sure if this counted as "altered," so I just erred on the side of caution and checked the box, just in case. @mtbachelor

WANT TO DO THE ZIP TOUR? HERE'S SOME TIPS!

TIP 1: The zip tour price pays for your lift ticket, so you can ride the lift back up afterward for free. The views coming back down are amazing!

TIP 2: If you want to have food/drink at the lodge afterward, be sure to schedule your zip tour early in the day. We scheduled for 2:30 and the lodge was already closed when we finished.

TIP 3: If you plan to zip line again in the future, buying the ticket on that same day you're at the mountain for your current zip tour will get you a 50% discount.

TIP 4: You can bring a camera to film the experience, but can't attach, stick, or strap it to the helmet or chest area, or in any way that gets in the way of the harness. You must also use both hands on the pull-handle, so you can't hold a camera. Your only viable options are a thigh strap mount (works so-so) or a bite mount (works better, and is what I used here.)
