33 TICKS REMOVED FROM A BABY HEDGEHOG

Описание к видео 33 TICKS REMOVED FROM A BABY HEDGEHOG

This baby hedgehog (Hoglet) was found in the garden behaving normally, eating normally and not appearing unwell, other than being covered in ticks of various sizes. The ticks were mainly around its back and sides and some larger ticks on it's nose and near the corner of it's eye. An unknown amount of tiny ticks were around its feet and belly which could not be removed at the moment. I consulted a vet and the British hedgehog society for guidance on removing the ticks prior to starting. The hog had numerous breaks to reduce stress and to have some warmth on a hot water bottle filled with warm water. The hog made a full recovery and returned to it's normal routine of nocturnal adventures.
