I was invited to my first steak competition here in Helotes, TX and I am HOOKED!

It was such a cool experience...so I am recreating a winning recipe that will make sure you get to walk the stage when it comes to SCA.

Traditionally, most will do these cooks on a charcoal grill but I'm putting my favorite pellet smoker to the test to see if it can get the job done.

Main notes:

The idea temp the Grill Grates have to be at is 600 degrees.

By layering the rubs and seasonings, there is so much flavor going on with each bite, it will make your steak stand out from the rest.

Remember: You get 1 bite to impress the judge...make sure it counts!
