Motor Mayhem (PS2) Gameplay

Описание к видео Motor Mayhem (PS2) Gameplay

Motor Mayhem is a decent Twisted Metal Clone that released two days after Twisted Metal Black hit the store shelves. Motor Mayhem goes more for the Unreal Tournament approach, no story, and a single player mode that has multiple tiers you have to beat in order to complete the game. There is Deathmatch, Eliminator, and endurance. I am showing the Deathmatch Tier in this footage.

As a game, the single player mode feels like it stretches on, but I have had a lot of fun playing the bot deathmatch modes in the game. As far as feel, Motor Mayhem feels like playing Twisted Metal with a moon-gravity mutator on. The physics in the game are over-implemented meaning it almost feels like you are driving underwater and on ice, and a simple bump on a wall can send you flying.

Overall, it's not a bad game, I enjoy playing it, but it's definitely for the more forgiving gamer types who can overlook bad framerates, and control issues to enjoy a flawed, yet fun title.

Note: for this footage I am testing out the Portta to upscale component to 1080p, then upscaling it to 4K in my editing software. The protta is one of the cheapest component-to-HDMI upscalers on amazon, and it's quality isn't bad. It's definitely not a Retrotink replacement, but for a budget upscaler, it's pretty good. It looks better on my TV than it does in this footage which was captured with a capture card.
