Ganpati Visarjan, or Ganesh Visarjan, is a popular Hindu festival celebrated in India, marking the culmination of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. The most significant rituals of this festival are the arrival and immersion of the idol of Lord Ganesha.

On the day of Ganpati Visarjan, people take the idol of Lord Ganesha in procession on vehicles through the main streets towards the immersion site. Upon reaching the immersion spot, the idol is immersed into water bodies, usually rivers or lakes, as a symbolic farewell. During this time, people celebrate with great enthusiasm, accompanied by music and dance. The festival is often shared on social media platforms, capturing moments of joy, devotion, and cultural significance.

Ganpati Visarjan highlights both environmental concerns due to pollution from idol materials and the communal spirit shared among people during the festivities.
