Can Wales ever be the same after an 18 test losing streak amongst other issues, ia crisis of Welsh proportions. Amidst dissenting voices, Warren Gatland has resigned. It must noted that no nation holds rugby as close to their core identity as Wales. So difficult is this period in this proud Six Nations team that some have termed it an existential crisis, a disastrous blow to the Dragons proud heritage even their national pysche. This video investigates how Wales has fallen from their proud heights, such as being 3rd place getter in the 1st World Cup and a 2019 semi-final placing in the Japan RWC.
Cymru has produced many greats including one of the best of them all Gareth Edwards, the highest test capped player in the world, Alun Wyn Jones, Dan Biggar and others.
After the successes of RWC 2019, in stepped former Flying Fijians coach Wayne Pivac, only to bring along a mixed bag of results, including a shock loss to Italy at Principality Stadium, and a first away win in South Africa. Citing consistency, Wales Rugby replaced Pivac with Gatland, on a second term. Then came the disastrous 12 game losing streak. Wales woes are at an all time high, completed by the unceremonious dumping, of Warren Gatland, a depressing commentary at the state of affairs of Welsh Rugby.
