How to Wire Steering Wheel Controls on a Subaru with Upgraded Steering Wheel

I get requests for this all the time so here it is. All that is required for steering wheel controls on an OEM radio set-up is connecting 4 wires - steering wheel control +/- and illumination +/-. No cutting or splicing is required, you can simply push the wires into the harnesses if you're nervous. I go through in detail how to do all of this. I'll be releasing a solution for aftermarket radios once I can get it setup myself.

Does this work? Yes - I had this hooked up in my previous Legacy when I only had an OEM radio and it worked perfectly for a year or so before the car died. Unfortunately in this video I can't show their function because I have an aftermarket radio and 5 channel amp installed and would have to rewire everything to switch back to OEM. Did it work for you?
