Episode 42 starts on a dry farm field, where McQueen and Peter the cat try to plow the hard ground to grow corn. McQueen pulls the plow with great effort, struggling with every step. In the next field, farmer Bulldog and Mater plow easily and laugh at them, making Peter feel small and ashamed. Back home, Peter’s frustration explodes. He points at McQueen and loudly blames McQueen for everything. Hurt and heartbroken, McQueen packs his luggage onto his roof and quietly leaves the village as a storm rolls in.

On a lonely dirt road, McQueen shivers in the rain under a tree. Lightning suddenly strikes and transforms him into a gigantic, furious Crane McQueen. Crane McQueen returns in rage, destroys farmer Bulldog’s farm, and charges into the village. Houses are smashed, villagers run in fear, and some call the police while escaping. Cat police and dog firefighters arrive, form a line, open fire and spray hoses, but Crane McQueen barely feels it. Finally, a cat officer kneels, aims an RPG-7, and fires, blowing Crane McQueen apart into a pile of red scrap in the middle of the village.

While the rescue team is cleaning up, Peter runs down the dirt road outside the village and finds McQueen badly hurt but alive. Peter falls to his knees, hugs McQueen, cries, and apologizes for blaming his friend. McQueen, still in pain, gives a gentle smile and forgives him. A little later, Mater and farmer Bulldog quietly walk up and bow deeply, apologizing for mocking and bragging. McQueen and Peter smile kindly and accept their apology. The episode ends warmly as McQueen, Peter, Mater, and farmer Bulldog walk home together through a village that has survived the storm, leaving a clear lesson about jealousy, blaming others, and appreciating the friend who always tries his best for you.
