호주의 유명한 민요 ‘Waltzing Matilda’를 첼리스트이자 편곡자로 활동중인 Stephan Koncz님이 현악 4중주로 편곡한 버전입니다.

이 곡의 원곡인 ‘Waltzing Matilda’는 1895년에 Bush balled(부시 발라드) 스타일로 만들어졌는데 Banjo Paterson이 작사, Christina MacPherson이 작곡하였고 호주의 시골을 배경으로 떠돌이 노동자인 ’스와그맨(swagger)‘의 이야기를 담고 있습니다.

스와그맨의 이야기는 호주 국민들의 독립적인 정신과 자유를 갈망하는 마음을 나타낸다고 합니다.
