Cracking the Code of Genius: The Mind Behind the Magic | Eden Goldenberg | TEDxNorthwesternU

Описание к видео Cracking the Code of Genius: The Mind Behind the Magic | Eden Goldenberg | TEDxNorthwesternU

Eden Goldenberg has always believed that magic exists, having spent the majority of her childhood with her face buried in worlds of witches, wizards, and fire breathing dragons. But it wasn’t until she held a human brain in her hands for the first time that she realized that it might not be such a far-fetched idea. In this inspiring and insightful talk, Goldenberg travels back through time in her quest to conquer the question nagging at the backs of all of our minds - how does one become a genius, and does it take magic to do it? Eden Goldenberg is a junior at the University of Florida, pursuing a double major in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience and Philosophy on the pre-medical track. Her studies push her to investigate the profound questions examining the complexities of identity, personality, and sense of self that lie at the intersection of the mind and the body. She firmly believes in developing a comprehensive understanding of the individual inclusive of both their psychological and biological backgrounds. Fascinated by the versatility of human intelligence, she plans to explore these questions as a musician and a neuroscientist, with a little help from Einstein and Mozart along the way. She aims to earn her Master's in the Philosophy of Science and Medicine with the ultimate goal of pursuing a career in pediatric neurosurgery. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
