This is a demo of a synthesiser drone plugin that I have made.

The drone is comprised of any number of 1 - 100 oscillators which can be set to be sine waves, triangle waves, or a mix of the two.

The oscillators choose a random rate when they are created, and oscillate their volume at this rate. The overall rate of the drone can be controlled with a slider.

Each time an oscillator's volume fades to 0, it chooses a new frequency for it's tone, and a new position in the stereo field. The values that it chooses for this are chosen from the range set by the user with sliders.

In the centre of the plugin GUI, there is a visualisation which represents the current state of the oscillators. Each oscillator is represented by a circle:

The size of the circle represents the volume level of the oscillator
the colour of the circle represents the frequency of the oscillator's tone (lighter = higher frequency)
the distance of the circle from the centre point of the visualiser represents the absolute value of its pan position
the smoothness/jaggedness of the circle's outline represent the current wave shape (more jagged = more triangle wave!)
