In this series, you’ll meet Birde, a legendary Oakland graffiti artist turned accidental time traveler, and Hiro, a young tugboat pilot and fellow artist whose visions—and art—may hold the key to freeing the God of War from humanity’s endless cycle of destruction. Alongside a loyal pit bull named Karma, a flying humpback whale called Garuda, ghosts, veterans, and alien worlds craving human creativity, these artists embark on a journey to transform war itself.

The trilogy explores powerful questions:

What if War isn’t a god of strength—but a slave, addicted and trapped by human greed?

Can human imagination and art break the chains of violence and reshape our future and help initiate humanity?

Is it madness…or the truth waiting to be painted into existence?

I’m Mark Lewis Wagner—artist, concept artist in the film industry, illustrator, graphic designer, graphic novelist, and musician. I’m also the founder of Drawing on Earth, a nonprofit that has worked with over 40,000 kids worldwide, set two chalk drawing World Records, and created art that’s been photographed by satellite.
