Until you directly experience bliss, you cannot know what it is. It's not happiness, but perhaps you can imagine happiness on steroids, or happiness times infinity. Bliss is the experience of your True Nature so it is always present and you can never be apart from it and yet most people do not experience it. Seeking bliss or enlightenment prevents you from experiencing it. It is like trying to catch a feather by waving a fan at it. When you stop waving the fan, the feather naturally falls to the ground.
