Special Feature: Waterloo Region Doubleheaders Model Railroad Layout Tour 2023

My friend Tim from ‪@TheyMakeItLikeThat‬ and I visited 8 model railroads around the Waterloo Region as part of the 39th Annual Model Railroad Layout Tour hosted by the Double Headers Model Railroad Club. It was a great day where we saw some amazing layouts and met some wonderful people.

The layouts included Dave Rorke's N scale layout modelled after the Ontario Northland Railway, Chris Bramble's HO scale layout featuring computer-generated switch lists, David Honstein's HO scale railroad based on the Conrail division of St. Thomas, John Wagner's fictional North East Hope Central set in Southern Ontario, Linda Hayward's N scale layout depicting the Canadian National Railway in Southern Ontario, Mark Van Runt's HO scale North Shore Central featuring modern-era motive power, Darren Martin's N scale layout inspired by Dave Rorke's layout, and the Waterloo Region Model Railway Club's layout modelling the CP Rail Sudbury division. The layouts featured unique features such as scratch-built structures, helixes, and computer-controlled operations.
