This is my submission to the 48th M8 Community Jam with the theme of Forest

Lore:

A high tech, classified drone is lost in the rainforest of Peru, the latest in recon telecom science. Your mission is to recover it. Armed with your own experimental Foracle (FOREST ORACLE) XE-461 unit, you parkour through the dense vegetation using every skill you've trained for. FORC-XE-461 communicating obstacles and the lay of the land via a brain link, you echo the its warnings and continue to climb towards the signal. Like a rally co-pilot, it calmly informs you of the next move. Finally after many near death cliffs and shear face climbs, your unit locates its twin and you are successful in rebooting its systems and mobility jets.

The rainforest's natural hum of life continues to persist in your ears as you setup camp for the night.

Production notes:

I had so much fun crafting this bit. I had the main parts done nearly 24 hours after the theme was announced, at first I was going with a much more conventional 162 BPM for breakbeat, but I slowed it down after the dense melody was too much to decipher with my ears. Ending up at a still fast 152bpm, notes and percussion were much more digestible but still at the pace of a near full sprint.

I made most of the instruments, the crackly drone, the low bass tones, the FM-Steel Drum style main lead and the VOSIM FOF with a LOT of drunk LFO set to a bunch of parameters to vary it's tone and robotic gibberish lead mirror. The percussion was a lot of break samples and such.
