After a wait of over five long years, Aprilia has finally started its motorcycle innings in India with the RS 457. The RS 457 is a proper twin cylinder sports bike that draws inspiration from the likes of the company’s internationally-acclaimed sports bikes like the RSV4 and the RS 660 in terms of design.

The Aprilia RS 457 is manufactured in Piaggio’s plant in Baramati near Pune, making it the most powerful made-in-India motorcycle thanks to its 457cc liquid cooled parallel twin motor making 47.6 PS of peak power. It also features an incredibly competent cast aluminium twin-spar chassis and a host of electronic rider aids.

Priced at Rs 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom), the RS 457 might sound like a pricey proposition, but it undercuts its chief rivals like the Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Yamaha R3 by a big margin, while offering more performance and features.
