Union Pacific Along the Triple Track

Описание к видео Union Pacific Along the Triple Track

Union Pacific's Kearney Sub runs across the flat prairie of eastern Nebraska from Grand Island to North Platte with the most notable section of the line being the segment between Gibbon Junction and North Platte, more commonly known as the 'Triple Track Main'.

Over the course of two cross country trips in the summer of 2019, I followed the triple track main from Gibbon to North Platte, documenting some of the many coal, intermodal, manifest and other unit trains that ply this line, which at one time was the host of upwards of 120 trains a day.

Power is pretty evenly split between GE and EMDs. Occasional foreign units foreign units make appearances, particularly BNSF units on the Jeffery Energy coal trains. This is true main line railroading at its finest!

Enjoy, subscribe and thanks for watching!!
