A defining characteristic of growing up in the '70s, '80s, or '90s was a distinct lack of regard for safety. Sure, occasionally mom would force you to wear a helmet while riding your dirt bike, but aside from little demands like that, you had a world of hurt at your disposal!

In this week's Celebrating Yesteryear, we take a look back at some of the most popular toys from our childhoods that ended up being pretty dangerous. We uncover some of the details of injuries that led to some toys being drastically altered, while others were simply banned!
