The high electricity match between India and Bangladesh went in favour of the hosts with Mehidy Hasan and Mahmadullah taking the game away from the Indians. The Injured Captain Rohit Sharma could not win the match for the Indians despite end moment heroics. Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel were the only two names in batting from the Indian side with Dhawan, Rahul and Kohli losing the plot early on.

Captain Rohit Sharma, in the presentation, said that the fault lay with the bowlers who start well but are not able to break partnerships. He gave credit to the Bangladeshi batters who went on to make a huge partnership. He again criticized his bowlers who were unable to break through. Rohit was also concerned about the repeated injuries in the camp. He said that a player should be more than a 100 percent fit if he comes to play for his country.

It is interesting to note why Rohit always points a finger at the bowlers and spares his batters. If his batsmen cannot chase down 270 odd runs then India should stop taking pride in their batting bench strength and skill level.

Pakistan Vs England – Multan Test

In the Second Test between England and Pakistan taking place on Friday in Multan, there is much anticipation on the Pitch being prepared. Pakistan’s batting coach Mohammed Yusuf was sent to oversee the pitch conditions so that it is not a dead track like the Pindi Pitch. The Pakistani camp is vying for a more livelier wicket so that their bowlers get some help.

The Pitch in Multan is generally high scoring which offers help to the spinners. Still, leg-spinner Zahid Mahmood -- who conceded 319 runs for his six wickets in the first Test at Pindi may get dropped. Mohammad Nawaz and the uncapped Abrar Ahmed are in contention. Fast bowler Hasan Ali will probably fill in for the injured Haris Rauf.
