Sad music with epic & uplifting climax. It's kind of hard to categorize this piece into any genre. In a way it's cinematic, electronic, new age, chill out and slightly classical at the same time. The mood is dramatic, emotional but still uplifting and by the end redemptive, grand & epic. I composed this piece when I found out that my beloved Grandpa was going to leave us. The doctors predicted 3 months for him, but in the end he carried on for more than a year. He was 95 years old when his time has come and he left my Grandma (97) after 75 years of marriage (they met during WW2). She followed him not too long after. This piece wasn't meant to be sad nor mourning, instead it's a bittersweet celebration of a full and beautiful life.

I used the ending scene from one of my favorite movies: 'Vanilla Sky' to present the track, because for some reason it felt very fitting. I didn't watch the scene while composing, nor did I edit anything for the two to sync and still, I think, they flowed well together emotionally. I just hope my Grandparents are both cats somewhere, together.
