December 2016 saw strengthened passenger provision on some peak time trains of the Borders railway. This video look at some of these and attempt to give an explanation of how and what further improvement will happen in the furore. it takes a look at the new Station At Edinburgh Gateway which now has some direct services for the Borders. Mostly filmed on the 48 anniversary of the original line closure in january1969. It finishes with a reflection on the alternative public transport provision since then for Hawick on the closed part of the route. A hopes for the future.
