This event will assess the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on pharmaceutical education and also showcase educational approaches that were put in place in response to the pandemic, in particular noting how engagement was provided to learners. It will also consider how this learning is currently applied in pharmaceutical education and can be used to prepare for future pandemics.



Aim
To consider the current position of pharmaceutical education globally, the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on current education and how to prepare for future pandemics.


Learning objectives:
1. Describe how pharmaceutical education has changed over the COVID-19 pandemic;

2. Explain how different nations have co-ordinated pharmaceutical education during the pandemic;
3. List enablers and barriers to delivering innovative and high-quality education during a pandemic;
4. Discuss approaches needed to be taken in future pandemics to ensure pharmaceutical educational outcomes are delivered.
